Dog owners treat their furry friends like family, and they never miss an opportunity to bring them along on their adventures. After all, there’s no better way to spend an evening or a weekend than grabbing a cold brew with your pup by your side. Luckily for Charlotteans, our city is one of the top pet-friendly places in the country — and we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite local spots to inspire you.

Complete with astroturf, a misting system, and a shaded patio, this Charlotte favorite is perfect for pets and humans alike. This neighborhood hangout offers live music and an extensive list of brews and spirits — and best of all, it’s just minutes from Empire Caswell and Empire Equinox.
Skiptown
Skiptown is Charlotte’s spot for pups and their people, with turfed indoor and outdoor play areas, sun, shade, and water for dogs and cold brews for us. And if you’re looking for a great place to leave your dog for the day or the weekend, they also provide dog daycare and dog boarding. This state-of-the-art dog spot requires you to register your pet with their human-friendly app prior to visiting. Check out their monthly #SkipHomeWithMe adoption days to bring home a dog in need. Located in Charlotte’s South End, Skiptown is minutes from Empire Caswell and Empire Equinox.
