The Empire team is back from sunny Orlando, Florida where we traveled to attend the 2017 National Sales and Marketing Awards. The awards bring together the very best talent in new home sales, marketing and design from across North America to be recognized for their accomplishments in our industry. We are thrilled to announce we brought home two Gold Awards for Best Social Media Campaign and Best Computer Generated Sales tool.
Both awards were for our innovative Facebook application that was part of the launch of the Empire Avalon community in Caledonia, Ontario in early 2016. Available at http://empireavalon.me, the app allows visitors who are curious about life at Avalon to answer a quick set of lifestyle questions in order to generate a short, polished and personalized video featuring their name, their photos, their favorite recreational activities and interior design style preferences. Visitors can then share their video with their friends and family via Facebook, Twitter and email. Created in partnership with digital visualization firm PUREBLINK, whom we were lucky enough to have by our side at the awards, the app leverages Facebook’s Timeline Moviemaker and social-sign in functionality. Visitors who prefer not to use Facebook can provide their name and upload a photo manually as well.
We were particularly excited by the recognition this application received, as it represents some of the innovation in marketing techniques Empire committed itself to in 2016. It leverages the large reach of social media and offers a fun, fresh and immersive way for prospective homebuyers to get a feel for what their life will be like for them in a new home at our community.
Along with our Gold Awards, we were also recognized with four Silver Awards in various categories for Empire Avalon, Empire Eau Du Soleil and our corporate website. A big congratulations to the entire team. We’re looking forward to another year of innovation ahead.
