We’d like to introduce you to the interior designer behind our Love Design, live Empire video series, Andrew Pike. A nationally recognized designer, host and media personality, Andrew Pike has been in the design community for over twenty years. Andrew’s career has taken him across the world. A five-year stint in Europe, where he worked and traveled, allowed him to develop an appreciation for the way rich history and stunning architecture can create a unique experience at every turn. The classic way Europe blends modern style with ornate, antique structures is an influence we see time and time again with Andrew’s designs. Upon returning to Toronto, he began working as an interior designer and shortly after Empire’s love affair with Andrew began, when he designed the model home of our Wyndance community in Uxbridge. We were so blown away by the seamless blend of elegance and playful design that we haven’t left him alone since.
Where you know him from
In 2003, Andrew’s on-screen career began as a finalist on HGTV’s Design Superstar Challenge. He since has gone on to work on many of HGTV’s most successful design shows including, Design Rivals and Rooms That Rock. He has been the Resident Design Contributor for The Gill Deacon Show on CBC and has also made numerous design appearances on many shows and networks including Christine Cushing’s Cook With Me on FOOD Network as well as Breakfast Television and The Social on CTV.
Currently, you can catch Andrew on The Marilyn Denis Show where he is the resident Décor Expert, offering design advice, tips, and trends. You also may have read his byline in House & Home Magazine, The National Post, The Toronto Star, and The Globe & Mail where he is a regular contributor.

The Love Design, Live Empire Series
After recently completing a series of beautiful model homes in our Riverland community in Kitchener, we brought Andrew back to show us how he took five newly build homes as a blank canvas and turned them into a space any family would love. With such a natural charisma on screen, and a keen ability to simplify the design process for novices, we simply had to get Andrew in front of the camera to explain his process, his dos and don’ts, and how any new homeowner can approach their blank slate.
And so, our 8-part design series was born, with bite-sized videos with everything from how to start your inspiration process, to what the final touches of your home should be. We’ve also included some great bonus footage, like how to create a fool-proof budgeting system, and style guides for all five of our models, so you can recreate your favourite look at home. Sign up today to get the latest episodes and bonus footage before you take on your next design project.
