As if we didn’t love long weekends enough, the Caledonia Easter Egg Hunt near our Avalon Community takes family fun up a notch as the town gears up for an Easter egg hunt of epic proportions. This annual Caledonia Community Easter Egg Hunt will take place on March 25, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Henning Ball Park, located near the intersection of Argyle Street South and Braemar Avenue. The event is free for everyone to participate and features some awesome activities in addition to the main event!
Empire is a proud sponsor of the annual Caledonia Easter Egg Hunt, which started four years ago with 350 participants. This event now brings in more than 1,000 children and their families and involves local businesses, police, firefighters and EMS. Last year the Caledonia Easter Egg Hunt succeeded in collecting over 572 lbs of non-perishable food donations for the local Caledonia and District Food Bank.
In addition to cameos by the Easter bunny, kids will have an opportunity to get their face painted, pet live bunnies and enjoy community group activities. Raffle Tickets will also be available on the day of the event with prizes donated by individuals, local businesses and Community Groups. Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5, with terrific products and services available to win. But of course, the best part of the day is the 20,000 chocolate eggs to hunt! The hunt is divided into different age groups with separate areas of the kids. We can’t think of a better way to spend the Friday of a long weekend.
If you’re interested in participating next Friday, register today. The event is free; however, cash and non-perishable food donations are always appreciated. Or you can sponsor the event and help keep the Caledonia Easter Egg Hunt free for kids and families! We hope to see you there!
