HomeAid Houston and Empire Communities have joined forces to construct an 8,100-square-foot cottage for eight children from families in crisis on the Boys and Girls Country campus in Hockley. To help celebrate the framing stage of this new home, the team from Empire Communities, HomeAid Houston, Boys and Girls Country and Woodforest Charitable Foundation came together at the site to write words of encouragement and blessing on the frame of the house, before it is covered with drywall. This special event also gave the boys who will be moving into the house, along with their teaching parents, an opportunity to walk through and experience the early stages of construction, and to write their own messages.
