A one-pan dinner is any busy person’s best friend. Not only is cleaning up a breeze (one pan means only one thing to clean), but this style of cooking, where everything simmers together, leaves no ounce of flavor behind and allows you to build incredible flavour in a relatively short amount of time. We turned to one of our favourite recipe sources — Goop.com to find these 3 easy and hearty 1-pot dishes for fall that will keep the entire family happy, especially the person doing the dishes.

SPAGHETTI WITH CHERRY TOMATOES AND OLIVES

This one-pot pasta will change your life, and can be customized depending on the season and taste you’re looking for. Combine raw pasta, water, and all other ingredients (we like cherry tomatoes, olives, anchovies and lemon) and cook for 12 minutes or until you’re left with a small bit of sauce and the pasta is cooked to your liking. The trick here is to use the right pot – something shallow and wide to ensure proper water, pasta, ingredient distribution.

 

 

 

CHICKEN WITH BROWN RICE AND MUSHROOMS

This dish is hearty, comforting, and a deliciously healthy dinner option featuring tender chicken, incredibly flavourful rice and seasonal mushrooms.

 

 

 

SMOKED SAUSAGE, CABBAGE AND APPLE

This take on a classic German sausage and cabbage dish is the perfect fall meal. Replacing potatoes for seasonal apples makes it a little lighter and creates the perfect flavour balance.
